We are planning two events for Saturday 26 September 2026, both at the Kirkgate Community Centre in Shipley.

There will be an afternoon workshop to discuss the need for a resource centre facilities and services (such as meeting space, advice, training, design and printing) - and how these might be provided. The People's Property Portfolio (PPP) have now taken over the Resource Centre building on Chapel Street with a view to re-opening it as an arts and community centre.  They will be joining us to explore how they can provide 'resources of democracy' in the future.

There will be a bar, and food, after the workshop before an evening celebration of the Bradford Resource Centre, with music, a further showing of the film 'You Don't Know What You Don't Know, Do You?, exhibition (of Bradford Resource Centre and Bradford Community Arts), bar and music from Melosa Jazz. The evening will be a time for memories, for celebration and for meeting with old and new friends.
