Resources For Democracy!
A People's History of Bradford Resource Centre

11-20 September at Trapezium Arts

Step into the story of Bradford Resource Centre, over four decades of activism, creativity, and community power! From 1979 onwards, BRC was at the heart of grassroots action in Bradford, providing resources, training and information to a wide range of community, anti-racist, LGBTQ+, feminist, disability rights, and trade union movements. Now, for the first time, its history comes to life at Trapezium Arts, in a hands-on, multimedia exhibition, including:

  • A DIY Office Zone using surviving BRC resources: make your own Zine, poster or badges!

  • Short films by artist Adam Lewis Jacob, ahead of his BRC film premiere in October.

  • Photography, film and text by youth film collective Toothless Films.

  • Archive material from BRC, Bradford Community Arts, Valid disability arts group and many many more from over the years.

  • Chances to share your own BRC memories, and submit material to the archive.
